Thank you for coming to my web site.
I began my term as the Nye County Recorder on January 1, 2007. My term runs for 4 years. During this time I hope to accomplish many projects that will benefit the citizens of Nye County.
Nye County is a very large county. In fact, it is 18,146 square miles. The majority of the population is located in Pahrump, NV with approximately 38,000 residents and growing. The county seat is located in Tonopah which is 2.5 hours away and has about 2,700 residents.
As you can imagine, the county is naturally split into a north and south region by the citizens of Nye County. I suggest to people that have not been to the north or south section of Nye County to please take a weekend and go see what that part of the county has to offer. I personally have found many interesting sites from old ghost towns to abandoned mill sites. One thing is for sure the people of Nye County are very friendly. One can drive down the streets of Gabbs, Beatty, Tonopah, Amargosa, or Round Mountain and you will get a friendly wave. Yes, Nye County still has the flavor of the friendly old west.
I would highly recommend checking out Nye County in general. My links page has resources for some really great things to see and do in Nye County.
